Dr. Judy has been involved with dental Implants and related materials research for over 50 years. His clinical practice began in 1968 and he retired in 2016. In addition, he has devoted himself to implant education and practice management as well as association management. Currently Dr. Judy is the Co-Chairman and CEO of the International Congress of Oral Implantolgists (ICOI), the world's largest provider of continuing dental implant education. His leadership position in the ICOI began in 1973.

He has published over a 100 articles for dental journals and lectured extensively throughout the world.

From a research point of view he has focused on mineralization, bone healing, implant design and biomechanics. He has devoted significant time to teaching, lecturing, editorial generation and review as well as association management. As Dr. Judy often states, "Experience matters!"
